Neal and I recently went to Toronto for a long weekend. After the Indianapolis airport added a direct flight to Toronto, we knew we needed to check it out since we'd never been before. We loved it.
As is standard for us when we visit new cities, we signed up for a food tour. I'm a sucker for a city with a good Chinatown so Culinary Adventure Co.'s Chinatown + Kensington Market Food Tour seemed like a perfect fit. It also helped that it had amaaazing reviews.
We started in Chinatown and headed to the first stop - dim sum! We went to Rol San and had tons of food. Honestly had to stop myself from eating by reminding myself this was only the first stop! Food was great. Ordered lots of things - shu mai, pork buns, fried squid, rice rolls, tripe, and a few other things I can't remember.

Next stop was one of my favorites! King's Noodle Restaurant. I was disappointed at first because I expected we would order...noodles. Specifically, roasted pork/duck with noodles because there was roasted meat on display. Instead we had chicken congee and baby snow peas with garlic and a plate of roast pork. Again, sooooo much food. The food was so stinkin' delicious that this restaurant will always be on my list when I visit Toronto! Yum!

We then walked around Chinatown for a little longer learning about the history of that part of the city. Next stop, Kensington Market!
Kensington Market was so interesting and eclectic. So many different types of foods, and you really feel like you are stepping into a different world. First food stop was at Torteria San Cosme for a nopales torta - cactus, tomatillo-serrano salsa, refried beans & avocado. And we also had some horchata to drink which is a rice cinnamon drink.

We didn't stop in here...but I had to take a picture because I thought it was funny haha.

We then stopped in a corner market filled with fresh fruits and veggies. I love a good market. Strawberries were in season so we had another snack!

Another interesting thing that I wanted to take a picture of!

Last stop was for dessert at Wanda's Pie in the Sky for a slice of her famous sour cherry pie. Perfect end to the day!
